Week 7 – getting my mojo back

After a couple of weeks where I couldn’t face doing any walking, I was determined to get back on track. Before the tonsillitis, my aim was to get to 100,000 steps in a week. This week I cracked the 100,000 steps, and also did the first weekend of long walks. I was in Glasgow on Saturday for the first NDCAN committee meeting of the year. It finished at 2.30pm, and after driving back home, I went out and about on a walk, doing a little over 30,000 steps. One anomaly is Thursday. For some reason the app didn’t record all of my steps. It registered just under 5000 steps. The other app that comes with the phone registered just over 10,000 steps, so I’ve added them in to the week’s tally.

On Sunday I walked about at home in the afternoon, then later, I went to Edinburgh. It was International Women’s Day and there was a special tour of Mary Kelly’s Close. I have never seen it and so thought I’d go. As I was walking about Edinburgh, I recorded the walk. It’s just over 6km. Ignore the bit going down Princes Street, as that was me sitting on the tram, having forgotten to switch the tracking app off. Again, by the end of the day I had managed another 30,000 steps. I am feeling like I’m back on track with the walk again. The only thing that is worrying me at the moment is that it might get cancelled because of Coronavirus. I am hoping not.
